The Brant Land Trust is dedicated to securing, protecting and restoring functioning ecosystems and the rich biodiversity in Canada’s Carolinian region – an area supporting more rare species and animals than any other part of the country but also the more threatened.
We cover the geographic region of the County of Brant and the City of Brantford. We recognize that these lands are the traditional territories of the Neutral, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples. These peoples are the original caretakers of these territories – the peoples that lived on and worked intimately with these lands.
The Brant Land Trust commitment will be demonstrated through land ownership, habitat restoration, stewardship and outreach.
We received our letter’s patent in 2010 and in December 2018 received charitable status from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). We are a member of Ontario Land Trust Alliance (OLTA) and are registered for the Ecological Gifts Program.
